A Kenyan based news media organisation operating with three separately run newsrooms which created inefficiencies, silos and disparate strategic vision….

Part of the consulting team tasked with creating a new organisational design aligned with Nation Media Groups’s growth strategy. Reporting into and working closely with the client’s C-suite team and Editor-in-Chief and HR Director.

Over a five month period we brought three newsrooms together through a digital and workflow transformation. We designed new planning, commissioning & production workflows as well as re-imagining the work space.

Alongside this we redesigned the organisational chart and created the underpinning job descriptions, supporting HR and leadership with the communication plan and a KPI led performance management system.

Throughout the process, we engaged with the departmental leadership teams and led successful transition into the new ways of working which are now delivering top and bottom line success.
